, one of the world’s leading show jumping course designers, will create the LVWI’s four event courses, including the Grand Prix.
Without question, the Grand Prix is the finest event in this sport. All
riders who complete a clear round advance to a jump-off against the
clock. The Grand Prix will have a purse of $750,000 alone.
“These will be the toughest and most challenging courses I have ever
designed in North or South America,” Petersen said during the site
visit. “The Grand Prix course on Saturday, October 15, will feature 14
to 18 fences ranging from 1.50-1.80m in width and at least 1.60m in
height because the LVWI is the only show in the United States rated a
five-star event (CSI 5*), the highest rating, by the FEI.”
